Large But Tired Site

Visited Chapel Lane site as an overnight stopover in October 21, the site is large and pitches are well spaced but the site looked tired and in need of a little investment, this probably wasn't helped by the number of older shabby outfits, that appeared to be seasonal bookings, that blighted the landscape. The warden was less than friendly and took Covid safety concerns to a whole new level, which was unfortunate on the guy who booked in before me who had forgotten his mask and, despite only one person being allowed in the office, and the perspex screen on the reception desk, the guy was forced to book in whilst standing outside whilst the warden handed everything from behind the door, the toilet block needed some investment as it was looking very untidy, it was being cleaned whilst we were there but that wasn't enough to make them look good.

With the number of 1 nighters using this site, (including yourself) I don’t blame the site staff being extra cautious about Covid measures.  The sheer volume of interaction with booking people in, increases their chances of coming into contact with someone inadvertently carrying the virus. I would be very happy being dealt with in such a manner that also protects myself. Well done Wardens 👍

I agree with the way in which the wardens dealt with booking in the guy that 'forgot' his mask. All wardens and frontline people in all areas of business deserve being shown the respect of wearing masks by the general public. They see a lot of people each day and why should they have to risk their health unnecessarily? It is only a small inconvenience to wear a mask and, unless you have a medical reason for not wearing one, why not do it!
