Abrupt and Unhelpful

The Winter relief woman warden was abrupt and rude. The male warden much more pleasant and helpful. There was no flexibility. The site facilities were not acceptable, as the central toilet block was closed off and the furthest block a long way from the site entrance. Office closed when it should have been open and also the office opening at 1pm is so inflexible that members can be given an abrupt reprimand for arriving slightly early and then "rushing me". Site also with small dog walk, but some good fields nearby. Site has some background road noise from nearby main road into Birmingham. Site was not well kept and there could have been some better maintenance of pitches, some of which had weeds/grasses coming through.... this is the time of year, when not busy to do such maintenance.

It sounds to me that because there are Relief Wardens, it’s fair to assume the site is run by a single couple at this time of year, hence only 1 toilet block open and the staff having some time for lunch prior to accepting new arrivals. If on the rare occasion we find we’ve made “slightly” better time then expected traveling, then a courtesy call to the site tends to smooth the wheels of booking in 😊
