Lovely quiet site, nice size pitches. Toilets and showers were spotlessly clean at all times.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Beckett Farm shop was brilliant for fresh fruit and veg, lots of specialty products and reasonably priced.
Ok as a stopover
The site is conveniently located close to the M42, so it's a good stopover. I would not use it for any longer than one night.
The site is scruffy and in need of attention. The pitch we went on to, had dog mess all round the edges. Not the fault of the warden but having read other reviews, I do wonder if this would have been a member.
Not much else to say really, just to echo what has been said in other reviews.
Ideal stop over
Well the site wardens were very friendly and helpful. But the site looked tired and in need of some updating.
Only one shower block was open and only 3 showers available not good for a site of this size, all showers were in use so went back later and all ok.
Not a fan of not cutting the grass if you want the wild look then wild seed need to be sown and it would give some colour. Certain pitches looked like they were in a car park on tarmac with boxes separating the pitches.
Very convenient for the M42 about 2 miles away. Would use for a 1 night stopover.
Happy Camper
Good dog walk, well spaced out pitches.Lots to visit in the area .Staff all friendly

Mixed Bag
On a positive note - the site is well located not far from the M42 so a convenient stopover or good if you're working in / visiting Birmingham with Wythall station a 5 minutes drive or 25 minutes ish walk away. Becketts Farm Shop is about 5 minutes away and is excellent, well worth a visit.
But on the flip side - the site looks scruffy, there are potholes in the roads around the site and parts of the site resemble a large concrete car park. Only one facilities block was open when we were there despite the site being busy, so it was frustrating to have to wait to use dishwashing and laundry facilities when you know there is an unused block on site.
Also, when we were there, several "travellers" appeared to be staying, with unattended children and dogs, toys, litter and random garden implements strewn over relevant pitches, cars going the wrong way around the one way system, washing being left to dry on the railings by the toilets etc. The fact that there is a notice on the toilet block door stating that "Failure to respect these facilities will result in their closure" or words to that effect, didn't look great either, never seen that anywhere I have stayed before.
Disappointed
Stayed one night prior to event the next day at NEC. We’re very unfortunate to have a couple in a VW transporter pitch next to us, disturbed by constant doors opening and closing, approx 4 hours the Friday night, only to be woken by it all again at 0545 next morning till they left at 0630. Not the sites fault but on letting the warden know when we left, felt he wasn’t too concerned and possibly proud of the non member status and the fact you can leave at any time of the morning. I think the site needs to address that.
Grounds didn’t appear well maintained and only 1 toilet block.

Not so great
Having read the reviews of this site, feel sad that we had a totally different experience. The greeting we got from the Warden was not so great, not even a hello when I walked through the reception door. Wasnt up to listening to what I had to say. Spoilt the rest of the weekend for us and we left as early as we could the next morning. Seems a nice site, although a lot of travellers on there who enjoy a game of football fairly late at night. There is only one toilet block open, although it says there are two. Site looks fairly clean and tidy, although we didnt leave our motorhome as we just wanted to go back home as soon as we could. We did pop up to the farm shop to get some supplies for the night, really great shop, highly recommend.
A clean and well appointed site
Thank you to the hard working staff for this well kept site, it’s handy both for the motorway and visiting our family in the area. Our fully serviced pitch was by mature trees and in a quiet spot. The toilets and showers were clean and modern with the grounds maintained around the site to a high standard.
Some pitches are obviously for those just staying one night whilst on route but there are plenty for those who want to relax for on a longer break. We used the APP to book extra nights! The weather was rather cold and rainy in March but the showers were warm and we had everything we wanted.
Such a handy site we will be back.
Helpful staff with clean and warm facilities
Stayed here last minute due to family funeral and the staff were very helpful when we needed to stay an extra night going above and beyond to secure booking. When we arrived on a very cold and bitter December afternoon found the toilet and shower block’s extremely clean, warm and toasty which was very much appreciated after a days cycling out in the cold on our 2nd night stay. A great introduction to winter camper van travels which has encouraged us to explore more out of the main season. The location suited us as near family and great chip shop nearby for a nice chippy tea. A lovely part of the midlands and would definitely stay again when next visiting the area.
Perfect for visiting the NEC
We've stayed at this site many times as it's perfectly located for visits to the NEC and our families. Having paid prior to arrival and as we have stayed before, check-in was great as the Site Manager opened the barrier for us to drive in and get set up. The site is always exceptionally well maintained and the facilities blocks are warm and spotlessly clean. There is always a warm welcome from the site staff too.
