Nice site perfectly situated
I really can't understand the negative reviews for this site - Yes it is not up to Club standards but they only bought it in March - regardless of this it is still a nice site
We were there 5 nights and had a great experience, on arrival we were checked in by a friendly lady warden, and our pitch was quite a distance from reception on the Laurels.
Pitch had electric, waste, water, and TV connections - as others have said the pitches are quite narrow, but long - we had no problems pitching the van and awning.
The toilet block was clean and warm, showers are push button, but again no problems encountered - I am sure when the club have a chance to make improvements they will, but at the moment it is a perfectly acceptable site, the wardens we encountered were all friendly and hard working - always had time for a chat and kept the site neat and tidy.
All of the seasonal caravanners we met were friendly - and the site itself had a nice friendly atmosphere.
A 5 minute walk takes you into Cayton Village, and a 30 minute walk takes yo to Cayton Bay. There is a bus stop right outside the entrance, and the Scarborough park and ride is about 2 miles away.
From here you can visit coast, moors, and the Wolds - and the site will be even better once improvements are completed
