First visit

This was our first visit to this particular site. First impressions were very positive and the staff were really helpful. The major disappointment was the lack of wheelchair access to the on-site shop. There is a step to get into the shop and this was really disappointing as all the rest of the site was fabulous for access. I did raise this and advised that the only way I would’ve been able to do any shopping would’ve been to have sat outside the doorway, asking whoever was serving to gather items required on my behalf! This would not of made for a happy lady if it were raining! I was told that it would be raised with the regional manager. However, this has recently been refurbished so why was this not dealt with at the time of building et cetera. Our pitch was a good size but in order for me to have close access to the disabled facilities we were right next door to the children’s play park and I can tell you it got Got very noisy at times. However, we did book during the school holidays and to be fair children do play and make noise lol. Also we were offered the option to move to another pitch which we did decline. The dog walk was disappointing- it was just a track which went round the perimeter and was right next to a new building site! I have no idea what they are building At the time of writing this. On the whole it is a large site with an upper and lower section. There are glamping facilities and we were not too close to those. The facilities were spotless and there was a mobile fish and chip shop and a pizza van That visit once a week. It’s a quick car journey into Scarborough and there are public transport facilities right outside the site.
