This was our first stay at Cayton and what a delight! Although some of the wardens were obviously new and in training, the warm welcome and the efficient check in was excellent! It's a huge site and we were advised where we would be best to pitch if we wanted a quiet stay (which we did). The park was only probably a third full so there were plenty of pitches to choose from although I would imagine it can get quite busy at peak season especially as it caters for families so well. The facilities are excellent. They are kept beautifully clean by the wardens and everything works! The beach is only a 20 minute walk away and you are provided with a map and directions to all the key things you might need (shop/Post Office/chippy/pub). For those who need public transport to get around, there is a bus stop right outside the site and there is easy access to Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey. We stayed to attend a couple of shows at Scarborough outdoor theatre and the site location proved to be ideal as it was only a 15/20 minute drive away. We have found our new favourite Club site!
