We wanted to come again after last year's visit and arranged this again to coincide with the Yorkshire Coast 10K Race in Scarborough which I took part in. It's firmly our favourite northern site. Although only the bottom half of the site is open in October, it's still expansive with plenty of capacity. The lower shower block is brilliant - modern, warm and with all the expected facilities. Bus stops outside the site go towards Filey and Bridlington in one direction, and to Scarborough in the other. And the buses are every 30 minutes or so - fantastic for getting off for the day, or coming back from a walk on. Or the pub, or both ;-). The site team were fantastic too - they kept a close eye on everything and it was all neat and tidy. We're not fans of the new central bin areas although appreciate it's a central CAMC thing rather than the site team. With the darker evenings now upon us, the bins area down by the entrance could do with some lighting - or like me you take a head torch to see which bin is which! We will definitely be back again in 2025 - well done to all the team at Cayton. You have a site you can be proud of
