Yet Another Great Stay

Yet another great 5-day stay at this excellent site, timed perfectly to get lots of hiking into the nearby peaks (eg Mam Tor and Lose Hill) in very decent weather for December - leaving the day just before snow arrived courtesy of 'Storm Caroline' ! [I come about every 18months, mentioned upgrades only seemed to be the conversion of some pitches to being 'Super' and the addition of a dog walk (no dog, still handy as it has a footpath though it for shorter access to the pavement ) - everything else seemed unchanged to me...] For what should be everyone's aims in the area, the the site location is ideal for hiking (footpaths start barely 100m from the entrance), visiting Castleton, bus and trains (stops are within 200m of the entrance) for further afield (eg northern Edale valley). Largely flat pitches and an (essential, even when it doesn't rain like during my stay !) drying room and the wifi signal was strong/reliable (pitch 88, near the facility blocks). The cherry on the cake is the midweek discount (tempting fate I know).... No electricity supply problems others have reported, despite site being about 75% full with chilly days and cold nights so most of us would have been using heating devices..... Decent TV reception, just note the direction is about 120degrees with a VERTICALLY polarised signal ! My only observation is why isn't the site leaflet available for download on the site webpage ???
