This site is one of our favourites. Great location, walking distance into town etc. I know that refurbishments are planned so I won't comment on the shower block facilities as others have done. But please, within the plans, ensure that both the TV and Wifi reception are both brought up to standard. Plenty of other sites now have a TV booster on the mains column - over the past 3 days we had limited coverage at best and no service at all for several hours. The Wifi was equally poor. Paying £2.50 per day should ensure you have a better coverage than using 3G/4G but this was often not the case. I'm not talking about speed, simply reliability as the signal dropped several times per day. Apart from these whinges, this is still a good site and I hope that the refurb brings all facilities back to a great standard.
