Just spent a couple of nights here as a stop-off on way home from Yorkshire and thoroughly recommend. Wardens were really friendly and helpful, pitches well spaced with plenty of room and beautifully maintained. Castleton is a lovely village (recommend the Peak Hotel for good beer and lovely surroundings!) with lots to do and see for all the family. As noted before, bus stops are 2 minutes from the entrance and serve all local destinations and are regular and cheap! We were there during the recent Storm Eleanor and pleased to report no damage despite 60 mph gales! We will return, thank you.
