Camelford's Aroma is not Aromatic
We arrived in good time but did not see any signs for The Club Site, although there were plenty for golf course etc, the sign did not come into view until we were around the corner. Hey-ho we went round the block.
As the site was quiet we had our pick of the pitches and chose hardstanding which was pretty level.
The site staff were helpful and friendly. The facilities were clean, however the toilet and shower
block needs revamped.
There is a fish &chip van which comes onto the site and we decided to give it a whirl, wished we hadn't wasted our money, there was more batter than fish....
If you go into Camelford steer clear of The Masons Arms and don't believe the reviews like we did, it was awful.
We did have good food at the Bettle & Chisel Inn, Delabore, this is 10/15 mins from the site.
On arrival the host gave us a warm welcome and overall the service was very good, plenty of atmosphere as the restaurant was full.
Fantastic location for visiting stunning, coastal areas. Enjoyed many days out especially the ferry trip from Rock to Padstow with a tasty brunch in THE CHERRY TREE.
A lovely, relaxing holiday shame about the whiff from the slurry .....
