Set in ancient quarry works and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), the Cambridge Cherry Hinton Club Campsite has been imaginatively landscaped to create the impression of being in the heart of the countryside while only a 25-minute bus journey to the city centre of beautiful Cambridge.
The campsite gives you easy access to guided walking tours of the nearby medieval colleges where you can enjoy the academic atmosphere that makes the city famous. Wander along or take a punt on the River Cam to see colleges like Corpus Christi, Magdalene and the Bridge of Sighs. A visit to King's College Chapel is a must. If you're feeling a little lazy, open bus tours let you take in the full charm of the city while you relax. For those who like to cycle, the Cambridge Cherry Hinton Club Campsite offers good cycling paths from the site into and around Cambridge. Just opposite the site, you can enjoy a lovely walk around the nature reserve and old chalk pits. If you're feeling peckish, it's only a short stroll to the nearest pub and if you need to stock up on supplies, a supermarket can be found a little further down the road.

Disappointed allocated a pitch (20) down the mine(that's what it felt like) nice and warm up top off the site, dark and cold where we were and right on top of our neighbours. I totally agree with other members reviews that if your allocated such poor pitches the charges should... Show more

This site is ideally placed for the bus into Cambridge for access to the town and railway station for exploring further afield. It was really clean and tidy. Ideal site for adults. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

It’s the only time we’ve been disappointed by a UK CAMC. Pitch allocation is understandable in some areas of the site due to accessibility. We were on pitch 21 which is completely shaded, and felt very dark and damp with no natural daylight. It’s also a tight... Show more

Nice sight BUT... REALLY didn't like the fact that we couldn't select a pitch of our choice. Our pitch was a bit too shady for us and felt a bit like we were in a dark hole. Everything else was just as you would expect from a CAMC site... EXCELLENT! The wifi... Show more

The pitch we had was too small and it felt you were on top of your neighbours. We saw the wardens when we booked in and only saw them around our pitch once when they were checking to see who had left. At the rear of our pitch there were blackberry bushes... Show more

We had a wonderful stay at this campsite, where we spent about ten days. The facilities are spotless, and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Cambridge city centre (as well as the train station to London) is just a 15-minute bike ride away. We’ll definitely be back!

The allocation of pitches has to be some what desired. We put the sizes of our vehicles in the club when we book so how can camper vans gat larger pitches than 7.8 meter caravans and Motorhome that are 7.5 meters. The pitches allocated to us very close to each... Show more

We were excited to stay at Cherry Hinton as it had previously been recommended. The ease to get into Cambridge I cannot fault however this was our first experience of having a pitch pre allocated on arrival. We were given our pitch number, went to the allocated pitch and our... Show more
