We stayed here for 5 nights over the February half term as a family of 3. There were significant road works occurring outside the site upon our arrival and for the first 2 days. The wardens were extremely helpful with this and negotiated our arrival through the road closure on day one to make it all go very smoothly. There was a lot of noise on the first day of our trip through to midnight but it did not impact too much on the stay. We have to say a HUGE thank you to Derek for helping us out with a leaking tap. He popped over with the tools and ended up fixing the issue for us there and then. Really helpful and friendly top notch service (well beyond service). THANK YOU! We did have a full 5 days with visits to Taunton, Wellington Monument, Crealy (Exeter), Sheppy's Cider and a nearby wicker farm. Lots to occupy us for 5 days and the site itself was practically empty throughout so we had a very peaceful time in the main. I know this is used mainly as a transit site for people travelling South but it is well worth a few days at least to visit the local area. Once again a huge thank you to the wardens for looking after us and making our stay enjoyable and relatively stress free :)
