We have stayed here before a really enjoyed it,however this time a few things let it down.We arrived at site at just after 1pm we took time off work to arrive when site opens to ensure we find a nicely positioned pitch,we were greeted by a friendly warden. We drove to where we wanted to be pitched up near the showers water points etc,only to find 6 of the best positioned pitches had been coned off which we thought very odd,we managed to find another suitable pitch although it wasn’t entirely flat so took some time to get level.We saw a warden walking past and enquired why they had coned off the best pitches she said that people had requested to be near the shower/toilets so they were reserved,we were not aware this was an option now on CAMC or else we would have done the same not bothered arriving on time and not taken time off work I always understood it was first come first served,also these are not the disabled pitches which of course I would have no problem with being reserved. Another issue is the bins have been taken away from service point and placed centrally outside the entrance so if your at the far end of the site it is a bit of a treak to take your rubbish surely this discourages people from taking rubbish bags as they use them . On the sunday I waited for the showers to be cleaned and went in at 12.05 straight after they opened they didn’t look as if they had been cleaned and if so not very well, there was toilet paper on the floor and the first shower I went in had a clump of hair on the floor. All in all quite disappointed in CAMC we always use your sites as the standards have always been excellent,however the prices keep going up and the standards seem to be slipping.
