This is a site which we have visited several times over the years and we know the area. The shower block now has a wow factor although it is some distance away from the pitches at the bottom of the site. At night, it was difficult to navigate at first to find our way back to the pitch. The Motorhome Service point is excellent although you may have to tour the site to access it unless you visit when coming in. Wifi was slow. Phone reception was almost non-existant until you left the site. TV is best through the site bollards. The site roads are narrow but it was entertaining to see how many 'Keep of the grass ..' signs were knocked over as people tried to master the narrowness when reversing. The childrens' playground has disappeared. You can walk your heart out from this site although much of the terrain is rough. Buxton is doable although coming back to the site takes longer as it is uphill. Good train and bus services from busy Buxton. In spite of the heavy quarry wagons, the roads are easy to navigate for a car or motorhome. We had 5 days of sunshine although the early morning and late evening were chilly. Very much a site worth visiting. Spend time watching the antics of the birds on the cliff face.
