Decided to have a weekend away and chose Buxton CC site as there is a lot going on in and round this area. The quarry location is quite unique so made for a stay that was a little different. The site was pretty full over the weekend but it didn't feel that way as the pitches are quite spacious. True, mobile phone signal is pretty none existent which can be a good or bad thing for some people. Plenty of walks straight from the site into the nearby country park. We walked up to Solomon's Temple and had a great view from the top in glorious sunshine. If I was picky, I would say that the power from the showers and the toilet flush wasn't up to the usual Club standard and dare I say no piped music !!. I must point out that although we had glorious weather during the day, when we left on Sunday it was heaving with rain. As my wife returned from the office after booking us out she was accompanied by a lady warden holding an umbrella over my wife's head to keep her dry. Now that's what I call customer service with a personal touch, at its best. I don't know her name but she had light coloured hair, you know who you are so a big thank you from the both of us. We plan on returning to this site in the future.
