Second visit.

This was our second visit to Grin Low. We stayed here last year. Overall it is a great site and in a good location for the fabulous walks and sites of the Peak District. I have only given 3 stars for peace and quiet as the noise from the Jackdaws on the quarry face was a bit annoying especially at 4 in the morning. Perhaps a 12 bore could sort them out. We had pitch 52 which is easy to get on and exit the site, it is also a short walk to the only toilet block. The site is located in an old quarry that has been set out very well with plenty of room between pitches however some are a bit tight to get onto if you haven't got a motor mover. You will need levelling blocks and strong pegs for the awning. The ground is very hard in places and difficult to get a peg in. Buxton is a fair walk from the site mostly down hill which is fine but don't forget you will have to come back up hill. Toilets are fine and clean. Wardens sell a nice range of food items and a Fish and chip van visits on a Saturday. We will certainly be back to this site but will find a pitch away from the Quarry edge.
