Peaceful and different
Buxton site is very different with you being down in a disused quarry. The site wardens were hard at work maintaining the site and making a new Bug Garden. We were given a pitch which was not suitable for our motorhome and Yvonne couldn't have been more helpful and allocated us a new pitch of our choosing.
The walk up to Solomon Temple is easily accessible from the site, as well as the woodland walks. Shop has lovely baked goods delivered on a daily basis, and there is a fish and chip and curry night during each week though we did not try these.
The site and facilities are spotless, someone previously mentioned about children on bikes, scooters which we also encounter and someone was flying a drone from the bottom end of the site which was not ideal. But otherwise a pleasant site with easy access to the local amenities and walks.
