Arrived to a very warm welcome from the new wardens who were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Pitches large and level. site is situated in an old quarry and is very well laid out. The park outside the gate is a great dog walk.The only downside for us was the long walk on the main road/footpath to Buxton, we were unable to use the short cut through the park due to having to use wheelchair. Having said that, we enjoyed the walk downhill to the town, beware, it is a constant hill all the way, we had a taxi back otherwise I would still be pushing. It was 4+ miles there. Was a bit disappointed with the fish and chips, bit too greasy for us. Would use Buxton again but would hire a car next time as transport is a must.
