I stayed here for 2 short breaks in the middle of May 2021 whilst my car was having its wheels powder coated at High Peak Powder Coating, on the nearby industrial estate. (They did a fantastic job by the way.) The site is very picturesque with lots of walking and biking trails close by. It’s adjacent to Grin Low Country Park where lots of walks start from. When I visited the site was still subject to some Covid19 regulations, which were managed excellently. All 4 wardens were very helpful, very friendly and very respectful of visitors needs. Buxton itself, which is walkable from the site, is a wonderful place to visit, lots of interesting buildings and an excellent park. It’s possible to catch the train to Manchester from Buxton rail station for those who require some ‘retail therapy’! The local taxi firm is excellent and very reliable. Do try the pastries, they are delicious!
