Being new to Caravanning last April 2015 this was our first caravan club site visited, we meet family there who have visited on a number of occasions. What was original booked as two night quickly turned into four night stay following an eventful journey to the site... lets just say, our original car wasn't overly impressed with the journey via cat and fiddle, which following a 3 hour wait for recovery with a friendly police officer sat in her vehicle behind us on a tight bend blue lights flashing... the welcoming site of the darkened reception was greatly welcomed. It has to be said the wardens were our saviours that night, as when we broke down we had little to no signal on our phones, and if the wardens hadn't rang us to check our expected time of arrival we wouldn't have been able to inform the AA or Police of our plight!!! Thank you again to the Wardens, who provided us with help and support the next morning in locating a local garage who thankful were able to fix the car, but not until after the weekend!... Luckily for us there was space for us to extend our stay whilst waiting for our car to be fixed. I have to say what an amazing group caravan club site members are... our wonderful neighbours on the site that weekend Jackie and Bert (whom we are still friends with) helped us out with lift to the garage to collect car and offered lifts to local shops etc... yes this experience for newbies was entertaining and eventful, but it didn't put us off and we have to say it built our love for caravanning and caravan club sites. The site its self and facilities are amazing, clean and welcoming with plenty of space and pitches to meet the needs of every type of caravan or motorhome. Thank you again.
