First time visiting this site and we have enjoyed our stay. The pitches are a good size and the scenery is amazing. The site is clean and the wardens friendly and helpful.
Only downside is the lack of Wi-Fi should you need it and people cutting though our pitch to get to their tents. Happened a couple of times which is a little disappointing .
Buxton itself is close by if you have a car.
We will visit again but will choose our pitch a little more carefully next time.
Buxton site
My wife and I stayed at the Buxton Club site for 6 days last week, and we have nothing but praise for its facilities, location and most of all, the extremely good staff.

Quarry
We stayed for one night whilst touring the Peak District in mid- May.
We chose a pitch next to the old Quarry walls which provided a different outlook and was full of bird life.
The facilities were exceptionally clean.
We had an evening stroll outside the site on to the moor which was full of friendly sheep!
We drove into Buxton the following morning. A very pleasant town. Don't think it is within walking distance of the site, though.
We would definitely stay here again.
Cleanest facilities we've seen
Hadn't stayed at this site since 2014. We were very impressed with the modern and very clean toilet block. Assumed they had been improved in the last year, so asked the wardens when it had been done. Was amazed to learn it was five years ago. They are the cleanest facilities we have seen on the club's network and a credit to the wardens, who by the way are very friendly and do a sterling job of maintaining the rest of the site as well. Great walks from the site, which is quiet and peaceful. We won't be waiting another nine years before we visit again.

Great site , good walks near by
This site is spot on , quick check in , found a pitch and then go back and let them know which pitch your on.. good size pitches and facilities were very clean . Staff very helpful and polite ,always seem to be working keeping everything going .
The country park next door is a great place for walks and taking the dogs out .
Nothing much else to say apart from we will be going back and using the site more
Our first trip in our new caravan
First shakedown in our new outfit. Arrived in pouring rain, but very friendly welcome and when we said it was our first CAMC visit he was genuinely pleased we had chosen Buxton. Excellent explanation of the site and facility placement for us newbies. Not knowing what to expect from the facilities/site, it was a pleasant confirmation that the membership fee is worth it. The bar is now set very high for the upcoming booking we have made, but talking to other members it would appear that the standard is very similar at all the others.
200 meters to country park and a walk through the wooded park to Poole's Cavern is worth it if you are into that types of thing.
Pizza night in wood fired oven on Friday was yummy £20 for 10" pizza and similar garlic bread. Fish and chip van on Saturday but we had a BBQ so can't comment on those.
1 1/2 hours trip for us and now on the list for another weekend break.
Another marvellous stay
Excellent site, great friendly staff, facilities are spot on and there’s numerous walks in all directions from the site. We’ll definitely stay here again
Excellent Site
Good sized pitches. Excellent facilities. Best designed showers that I have ever used on a site: roomy; plenty of hot water; lots of hooks; proper shower controls - no button to push every 30 seconds; well drained so there is a dry floor area for getting dressed.
Only criticism would be that the taxi company recommended on the site information sheet was dreadful. The car was filthy inside & stank of cigarette smoke, also the rear suspension sounded like it was about to collapse.

One of my favorite sites
I've visited this site many times and over the past 20 years, mainly because of the prime location. I particularly enjoy the walk through the woods into town which takes about 30 minutes. The layout of the site is excellent and it's always immaculately clean and tidy. TV reception is good. I get a weak 4G phone signal on the 3 network but it's weak and intermittent. The club wifi has now been switched off, but it was never reliable in any case.
Another great stay at this site
On our arrival we were greeted by the wardens who were the most helpful and friendly you could have wished for. The site was clean tidy and the toilet block immaculate. There was always a smile and a wave and time for a short chat. Please thank them on behalf of myself and my family.
