Nice big site
We stayed here for 5 nights with our Campervan, Awning and two dogs. We arrived at 1pm, the earliest arrival time, and we were part of a convoy of new arrivals. It didn’t take long to be processed, basically paid and asked to find a vacant pitch. The pitches are formed with quite quite large stones and on the hardest ground I have ever experienced. It was a huge effort to get the pegs in. The other thing of note on this site is that due to ample spacing between the pots, the distance from the electrical hook up means you could require a very long cable. The camp site was well maintained. The showers were beautifully clean and plenty of water pressure. There was a also a dog wash point. The on-site shop had quite a few essential items on sale. There was plenty of walks nearby and the East Lancs Steam Railway had a station on site, you could buy day roaming ticket for £21 and buy one get one free with your membership. There is a nice pub on site and lots of supermarkets within walking distance. The Town of Bury can be reached in 30 mins. Bury is more like a City in terms of shopping, it has literally ever shop under the sun and a nice market too. i would definitely come back to this site
