We had been recommended for this site and on arrival, the wardens are helpful and friendly. The pitches are good and the facilities are clean. The walks around the country park are excellent, but bring wellies when wet weather, as it is muddy! There is welcome dog wash on the site, although my dogs would have preferred warm water! It is a dog friendly site and there is a small off lead dog area. The country park is right next door though, so the dog area is only useful for a quick walk out. The steam trains are regular and great to see go past the site. We will definately be back.
