I was very disappointed indeed to be reprimanded for allowing my dog to have a wee on the grass opposite our caravan which was on the perimeter of the site and was not a site pitch. Having questioned the issue with one of the male site wardens, I was referred to the caravan club manual page .... rule ... regarding dog fowling. I have been a member of the caravan club for 18 years and 4 years prior to that with a 1 year break. I have NEVER been reprimanded by any club site during that period of time for this reason. As responsible dog owners, we always carry bags should there be any "accidents" which on occasion CANNOT be avoided. I had an incident, prior to the reprimand, where one of my dogs was sick. Not only did I clear it up in said bags, I also returned to the place where it was on the road with water and cleaned the area thoroughly - not the action of an irresponsible dog owner. This made us feel our dogs were not welcome on the site and despite the weather being good, we felt we could not put our dogs outside the caravan for further concern of reprimand. A very disappointing experience and if is the norm, this should be enforced by every caravan club site and with every dog owner ..... we certainly saw a number of them who were not questioned on this issue.
