Had this site not been recommended by family members we would never have looked twice at a country park site just outside Bury. So glad we did, it's an absolute gem. The site is pristine (full credit to the wardens) and the "please help yourself" herb garden is a lovely touch. Facilities were of the highest standard of cleanliness and the site overall is extremely well kept. The pub is a plus with beer garden and play area and Burrs country park provides lovely views from the site as well as good cycling, walking etc. The cherry on the cake is the steam railway running at the rear of the site throughout the day. A visit to Bury market is a must - walking shoes and a compass are recommended - it's huge.
