Burrs is so near to Bury yet retains the feel of splendid isolation.The site is beautifully tended by the staff,almost manicured lawns everywhere.Plenty of wild birds in evidence and for the dogs,walks in just about every direction.Industrial heritage abounds with pools,river,and feeder canals alongside the remains of mills and suchlike.I did of course mention that you can be having breakfast whilst watching a full size steam train passing your pitch,or even a diesel if that's your thing.The East Lancs Railway is on the doorstep at Bury,well worth a visit,all in all a lovely roomy site.
