The site is clean and well maintained. It was our first stay on this site. The wardens were helpful and had a welcome sense of humour. The local park and river provided a nice place for a walk. There is a pub adjacent to the site although we did not visit it on this occasion. Covid restrictions in force at the time of our stay meant that the pub was outside service only. We were unaware of any disturbances due to the pub during our stay and therefore deem it to be a positive option for future stays. Even better, there was an ice cream shop next to the pub. You can see that I am still a child when it comes to sweet things! One suggestion/request is that members should adhere to the earliest arrival time of 1pm and the latest departure time of midday. The access to the site is not great (maybe even classed as poor) and it would be a disaster if someone was late leaving combined with a number of caravans or motorhomes all trying to 'sneak in' early. Be considerate of others and to the wardens and stick to the designated times. This did impact on our decision one day as to if we should we leave the site in our car to visit local shops. We were concerned that we would have to queue in a long line of campers waiting to book in onsite upon our return. I can recommend this site to all if you like a quiet site in a very pleasant location but one that has options/facilities nearby.
