Finally we managed to book and get away having had our March break cancelled by CV19.. We booked for 5 nights Sun to Fri for what is a reasonable price on a serviced pitch (water, grey water disposal, electricity hook up and TV antenna point) which makes for less social contact! Access to the site is through a housing estate road and signposted to Burrs Country Park so that's easy enough to find - however beware the very poor road surface and raised hump on min roundabout. As we arrived Sunday afternoon the country park was very very busy and people park on the access road which reduces the road to one lane only with nowhere to gonif you meet oncoming cars. Size is an advantage here and I just waited until they moved for me. Police have been called to try and sort this but Bury Council could do with enforcement as it's their land Arriving to the site there are 2 sets of barriers. The first you call the wardens on and they raise (passenger side of car) the second is outside the office as is normal. Once onsite your barrier card opens both sets. Check in and payment very easy given CV19 with absolutely no worries. Find a pitch as normal then go back to pick up cards. Toilets are accessed by code lock and gents allows 2 occupants at a time ladies 3. All facilities are very clean and cleaned regularly through the day with hand sanitizer available in each door way Site is tidy with pitches having been regravelled and all appear level Even the notorious Mr Grumpy warden really wasn't. - ,abide by the rules it's simple. Mind your speed too as we observed many people thinking 5 mph needs second or third gear. It's walking pace for a reason Sadly the ELR was closed during our stay - the station is on site - walk through the lane in front of The Brown Cow PH - good real ale and food here so worth a try also has a large beer garden -no children after 930 in the bar. Hope this helps someone -we would go back but probably not for a week again.
