Previously an historic mill, Burrs Country Park Club Campsite has much to offer the whole family - from relaxing river and countryside walks to contemporary art, and with the nostalgic East Lancashire Steam Railway passing by. The campsite also provides you easy access to the beautiful country park situated just north of Bury town centre, and is handy for trips into Manchester using the direct tramlink.
The city of Manchester, just half an hour away by Tramlink, is a perfect base for big football matches, concerts and events, not to mention the extensive retail therapy options that Manchester has to offer - making touring in Lancashire a great choice for the discerning holidaymaker. The Bury Tramlink station is just a short bus ride away. Alternatively, there are several walking routes from the campsite to the station taking between 25-45 minutes.
Burrs Country Park Club Campsite is based around the River Irwell and the remains of two cotton mills - Higher Woodhill Mill and Burrs Mill. Extensive development of the mill has left interesting archaeological remains and water courses in the area. Travelling north and east of Bury, you will find picturesque countryside with numerous small towns and villages, with industrial heritage to explore.
Burrs Country Park Railway Station is the East Lancashire Railway's newest station, just a 5 minute stroll from the campsite. Travel on this fantastic heritage steam railway and take advantage of the exclusive member offer.
We're trialling Non-electric Saver pitches at Burrs Country Park Club Campsite as part of our sustainability focus - choose to not use electricity on any pitch with an EHU and save up to £4.00 per night!
