Lovely site but .........

We love this site as it's so near the centre of Bury and yet has lovely walks in the Country Park. However, on our visit earlier this year with our two small dogs, two of the Wardens who we haven't seen in previous years were very rude to us. We put the caravan on our serviced pitch and put our dogs onto ropes at the back of the van (having walked them first). Immediately the lady warden rushed out of the office shouting "Put those dogs on ropes!". I told her that they were already on ropes, to which she replied - "well, make sure they aren't longer than we allow" - they weren't. As we were leaving the site, we mentioned to the male warden that the dog walk had been fouled twice and so we'd had to walk off the site, and he replied "Oh, I expect I'll get round to that sooner or later" in a voice that seemed to suggest that he didn't care either way! Also, since the site has expanded, the water pressure is dreadful. We paid for a service pitch, but it was a waste of money as the water was so slow. On our latest visit some months later, we found that the water pressure was still very poor - so poor in fact that it was a health and safety risk in the shower block as, when you washed your hair, the water ran straight down and you had to be careful not to burn your head on the hot water pipes when you tried to rinse the water out of your hair. On this visit, we only saw the very friendly wardens we had met in previous years. Unfortunately, we don't know their names.

Comment from the Club:

As you had not met these Wardens earlier in the year, and the summer site staff team have been on site for 2 years, we believe this would have been the winter site staff. I am sorry to learn you were unhappy with the service received. Our Site Staff are the face of the Club and providing excellent customer service is something that we always strive for.

With regard to the water pressure, we apologise that you are unhappy with this and hope it will not stop you returning to the site.

We always welcome the opportunity to formally review any disappointing experience and we would ask that members send this in writing to us. Further details of our feedback, complaint and compliments procedure can be found on our website here: https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/contact/compliments-and-complaints/
