28th January 2022 to 31st January 2022. Booked a serviced pitch for three nights, arriving on the Friday afternoon and leaving on Monday morning. Several previous reviews have mentioned the cobbled approach road, and that is definitely an experience!!! It does get very busy with parked cars and pedestrians so you do need your wits about you with plenty of dogs, excited kids and distracted adults bimbling about. I managed to get a pitch next to the East Lancs Railway Line and it was fantastic being so close to the stunning locomotives as they passed the site. Water pressure was low, so it took quite a while to fill the tank with water. Facilities and staff were first class. Only minor irritation came when I went to use the motorhome service point and discovered the waste disposal grate didn't match with my outlet pipe without leaving the motorhome overhanging the service road. We'll definitely be staying again.
