We have stayed on this site twice and I really love it. I use the motorhome for work and it means my partner and dogs can come along. Site is dog friendly and clearly allows dogs. Unfortunately this stay was ruined by 1 person who seemed to believe the dogs should not be making any noise at all. They were fastened up as usual and barked a few times at people going by - the majority stopped to make a fuss of them even community police officers visiting the site. I was deep in thought working in the motor home when I was startled and shocked by a loud banging in the back window - I turned to find a man glaring into the motor home through the window. He did not speak but pointed his finger at the dogs. My partner went out to be informed that he was wanting a "quiet afternoon" and would go to the office if they did not shut up. Not wanting to make trouble was his parting shot. It made us very anxious and feel threatened. We went to the office to let them know and ask if we could move to another pitch to which they readily agreed. A lady opposite came out and said she was sorry we were going as she had been watching the dogs. She mentioned that children don't seem to be around making a noise like they used to on the sites. My thoughts are "live and let live" There are ways of speaking and communicating with people and had he come over and knocked on the door and spoken civilly we could have sorted it out. My advice to the gentleman wanting complete quiet is don't go to pet friendly / child friendly sites. Such a shame as I really love this site but not sure I will use it again. Washroom / showers / laundry / internet access / site wardens - all great. Pub next door serves lovely food. The park next door is great and the area is full of things to do. Access via barrier contributes to feeling safe and secure.
