Great Site

Good clean site and location, great pub just outside. 2nd visit in December but wont be returning any time soon, not very understanding during our last visit that had to be cut short due to issues with tow vehicle. Quite annoyed that reception had to confirm if RAC were allowed on site and then on leaving a day earlier, was immediately told there are no refunds despite not even asking for any. Sorry about poor review but still annoyed at the lack of empathy during a very stressful time trying to get car and caravan back home after a supposedly relaxing break, thank heavens for great friends.

He was bothered enough about it to post it on here , maybe it was the way he was told or maybe he is a "sensitive soul" I don't know but what I do know is "pigs will fly" before some here (not you) will ever see complaint about club staff as justified. wink

I see no one suggesting the complaint isn't justified, David. Which posts are you referring to?

So in your view some being annoyed about wardens following club rules and procedures is a 'justified' complaint?

If the wardens had acted outside the rules, that is a just complaint and have often said so.

I often book an extra day' so that I can leave later in the afternoon or early evening on the day before. When going in to let them know sometimes they tell me and sometimes not. On the occasions they do it really does not annoy me at all, they are just doing their job, why complain?

If you like the site and location, why not visit again? ,one "bad?" experiance can happen to anyone  on any site anywhere

Posted on 20/02/2020 11:04

I agree, anyone can have a stroke of bad luck, i did not say I would not visit again, I said I would not visit anytime soon. It was the attitude that I was not happy with.

The fact that the warden had to confirm if they were allowed to let RAC on site... Stupid question in my opinion, what they want me to do, push it to the car park?

I advised them as a courtesy that we were leaving early due to the car issue, in order for them to let the pitch out, fair enough in my opinion.

Immediate reply with glee: "There are no refunds if you leave early....." I didn't ask for a refund or expected one, it was her attitude.

I’m confused, did the wardens not allow the breakdown company to attend to your car whilst it was on site?

Posted on 20/02/2020 11:06

I advised the warden on arrival that the car had issues and I would have to get the RAC to fix or tow to garage, she was not sure if they were allowed to let RAC on site..

But then as most posts that are more a rant than a review ,it is also in what manner was the member advised  of the no refund ,

It is also still not made clear by the OP as to whether the site staff were "advised"of his  breakdown ,as it is not unknown for site staff to be expected to just let vehicles on site to attend without prior knowledgeundecided

Posted on 20/02/2020 11:11

Site staff were advised on our arrival that I would need to get the RAC involved and attend site, having to check if RAC are allowed on site even after notification is a bit poor, like I said earlier, are we to push the car to the car park? makes complete sense to me that the RAC need access to site and your vehicle.

I was not asking for a refund or bothered about receiving a refund, it was purely down to their attitude. In my opinion good service deserves a decent review, bad service deserves a poor review.

What was supposed to be a relaxing 3 days turned out to be a stressful 3 days, not helped by stupid queries and smug comments.

I am not annoyed about the rules or people following the rules. We all abide by rules, I am aware of the rules. My post was about the attitude of the warden. If I was to complain, I would have done so to the club directly. This was my Review of the site and staff.

It is the attitude of the warden, not the fact that she quoted the rules. I am aware of the rules and did not expect a refund, nor did I expect a smug reply as I got. This is a review not a complaint, hence the reason it is called a Reviews Section.
