Nice stay here on a recent weekend. Great location but also handy for a trip to Manchester. Went there on the Saturday for a concert. £4.00 taxi (using number recommended by the wardens) or 45 minute walk to tram Station in Bury. When we were there it looked like there were too many serviced pitches. The other pitch types were full but lots of empty serviced ones. On the pitch we were on we had to route our hook up cable under the van to reach the electric point which was some distance away, after being told off for joining it with our short lead at first. We realised afterwards this was specifically in the site info so assume it's a common issue so maybe club needs to spend some money on the standard pitches. The gravel was looking very tired on a lot of those pitches
