Just spent 5 nights at Burrs Country Park with the main purposes of visiting the Caravan Show at Event City, Manchester and the "world famous" Bury Market. Access to both is great from the site whether you drive, bus or metro and there is a taxi firm who will take you to the market for a fiver - good deal! Unfortunately we had some rough weather (understatement). We had in the space of less than a week, rain, hail, snow, thunder, lightening, gale force winds but also beautiful sunrises and amazing sunsets. The last morning when we were packing up (in the snow!) 5 different steam trains passed along the heritage line running along the side of the site - WOW! - obviously not the wrong type of snow... Only a couple of criticisms; the water pressure is low and you almost have to hug the wall to stay under the shower and in the ladies, the privacy cubicles which have a hairdryer on the wall would benefit from a flexible hose tap for hair washing. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
