Wanted to check out later on the Sunday and I was disappointed to have to pay another nights site fees when there were approx 40 spaces available when we left at 7pm. I understand there are rules, but surely a late checkout fee is more appropriate than a full charge? The warden did say i could stay until 2 pm but unfortunately I wanted to leave later. Moaning over, I really liked this site. The facilities are in the center of the site so within easy reach for everyone. A really nice pub at the entrance to the site which gets busy if its a hot day, but even though our caravan was close to it we never heard any noise in the evening. Love the location and its pretty easy to get in to Manchester via the tram from Bury. The steam train is a pleasant distraction on the occasions it stops next to the site.
