Visited this site for a 2 night stay and enjoyed the experience. The site is tucked away down a quiet lane but is close to everything you would ever need. On the first night we popped out to a local chippy for our dinner. We chose the direct footpath through the woods which was very wet but the shortest route and then walked back through the houses. Both ways were easy to find and took no more than 12 minutes from door to door. We also took a bus into town for the famed Bury market. The bus seemed expensive to me but then again I don’t use buses very often. We decided to get a Uber taxi back to the site from town and then wished we hadn’t bothered with the bus as the taxi was only £4.55 each way and dropped us off at the site entrance instead of a 10 minute walk away. Overall a great little site tucked away on the edge of town that is very open with few trees but also very secure. The wardens were really welcoming and friendly. Would definitely visit again.
