Nice site with nice wardens and we noticed on arrival plenty of notices asking dog owners to behave and keep their charges on a short (2 mtr) lead, fifteen to twenty foot leads were in evidence, and of course there's always a leadless hound running around where ever they like once the wardens were off duty. However, a nice stay we had and enjoyed the park and the East Lancs Railway which is a must visit. If you like excellent food and service book a meal on the train, but beware, you need to think about eight months in advance.
