This is the first time we have tried this site, even though it is less than 90 minutes away from home. The site itself is a little gem, well maintained and if you like trains you have a front row seat for the East Lancs Railway. Bury town centre and market is only a short drive away, or you can get a bus, or train. There is a small dog area on site although you really don't need it as immediately outside the gate you have access to the park where you can exercise you four legged friend(s). Also just outside the gate there is the Brown Cow pub. Good pub grub at reasonable prices....the ale was OK but then I am from Yorkshire!! The only issue we had with this site was the access. We have a large caravan and the access road was OK, even going over the cobbles, but there was some roadworks which did make it a little difficult getting in and out with the van on. Overall this site offered pretty much everything we wanted and needed or our view this is another place we can go so we shall be returning.
