An unexpected gem
This is an unexpected gem, tucked down in the leafy Irwell river valley but approached by a 1960s housing estate.
A lovely site with lots of interest - the Irwell sculpture walk, post-industrial archaeology, walks through the valley, the steam train line and, only 30 minutes up the road at the Haworth Art Gallery in Accrington, the largest collection of Tiffany glass outside of the USA - who knew?
The site itself is very well run, squeaky clean and with lots of choice for different sorts of views from your pitch.
Thank you so much for two days of a work-related stay that managed to feel like a holiday.
