A very pleasant stay.

I arrived at Burrs Country Park site for my first visit on 9th May and was met by a very warm and friendly welcome. The approach to the site might have you wondering what you've let yourself in for, the road into the country park is atrocious with many potholes, however, and most important, once you are through the site barrier you enter familiar club territory. The site is not huge but you don't feel cramped with open vistas over towards the East Lancs Railway and the Country Park itself. As we all expect the site is maintained to the usual high standard with no complaints. During my stay the Flying Scotsman was visiting the East Lancs which was a bonus, however an event at the Country Park was very loud for most of the Saturday of my stay. But the event was in aid of the local hospice so I was willing to put up with a noisy day and the event drew to a close at around 3pm. Check upcoming events at the country park before booking would be my advise. Would I stay again?, absolutely yes.
