Lovely site really well looked after clean facilities lovely big pitches that are weed free and well kept. The wardens are lovely and friendly. The pub just outside the site does average typical pub food. The coffee shop across the road from the pub is always busy had nice cakes but didn’t think the coffee was up to much, much better was the jersey girls ice cream parlour down the road the ice cream is delicious and the cakes and coffee really nice it’s good for children as there’s some goats, budgies and other small animals to see. The steam train running along the back of the site is a great way to see some of the nearby villages and if you book through the caravan and motorhome site it’s buy one get one free. We had a lovely few days here in Burrs and will definitely return
Excellent wardens

Our favourite site
Just had our 3rd stay here, this year.
Really well kept site and all facilities spotlessly clean even though it was really busy. Wardens were friendly and helpful.
Steam trains passing by are a joy to see and create a happy feel to the place. We spent a full day getting on and off the train at all the villages - excellent value at £21.50 for 2 people (discounted tickets for club members).
The Brown Cow pub adjacent has a large beer garden with children’s play area.
A must try is Jersey girls ice cream, a few minutes walk.

Watch your arrival time.
This is our 2nd visit to this site and we really like it . It is well kept with friendly wardens and steam trains running along side of camp site which puts a smile on everyone’s face. The one problem we had was people arriving before 1 o clock check in. This site is unusual as it has barriers before you reach reception and have to talk to them via an intercom. So if you arrive early and stop at barriers people already in site cannot come and go as they wish and if there is a tail back it also stops people reaching the Brown Cow pub which is next door.
Well kept site
Lovely site well situated on the edge of the town. Facilities were kept spotlessly clean. The wardens I spoke with were very friendly and helpful. One of the things I particularly liked about our stay there was the absence of dogs barking. I find lately that on CAMC sites there are far too many dogs which owners can’t control and to be fair the noise spoils my stay. I personally think they should limit the number of dogs a person can bring but that is my opinion.
Unfortunately, for our stay it was the Diesel engine running and not the steam train but hopefully on our next stay we will see it. Really nice meal in the Brown Cow with reasonable prices.

Excellent site
Clean well kept open site with good helpful wardens, easy access from major road networks and location is good for walking and visiting surrounding areas of the north west. There are two pubs a cafe within five minutes walk.
The only grumble I had was the other caravaners and motorhome visitors walking through our pitch rather than using the footpaths provided,
An oasis just outside the centre of Bury
Stayed two nights needing somewhere easy drive to Manchester Old Trafford. I was thoroughly impressed. The site managers were brilliant, really helpful. The site itself was clean well supplied and generous pitches. I would not hesitate to come back.
Visit Jubilee weekend
All I can say is what an excellent team of wardens at Burrswood, they made the jubilee weekend one to remember running the site and providing a great party atmosphere with prizes , games and entertainment.
Brilliant Site
We were there for a week at the end of May 2022 and it is a lovely site. The pitches are large, there are friendly staff, very clean facilities and loads of things to do. Would certainly go back to this site.
