We have just spent a lovely long weekend in Burford. The site is perfectly located for a visit to the Cotswold wildlife park just across from the entrance, get your discount tickets at reception. The town is a taxi ride though at around £12! The site is really well maintained and the wardens take pride in it as can be witnessed even on their day off busily planting herbs up. Toilet block and showers spotless with additional facilities open whilst main ones closed for cleaning. We used both dog walks, the closed off dog walk was great, not massive but ample. Could do with some wire on the entrance gates as our Monty found a way out but he's a puppy explorer!! Visiting Burford we took shelter in the Cotwolds Arms as the rains came, dog friendly with a big jar of free biccies on the bar. We ate at the Mermaid in town where had a warm welcome and also dog friendly. Thanks again to all the wardens and see you again. Mike, Deb and Monty
