Good for families

A site you will want to return to again and again.

We had 10 nights at Buford in the first 2 weeks of June 2016 for our first (of many) visits to the Cotswolds. The site was easy to find, well signposted on the final approach and all routes in and out are on good 'A' roads, so no issues no matter what size of outfit or MH you are using. Staff/Wardens were very helpful and were always on top of cleaning and site maintenance throughout our stay.  Toilet/Shower facilities were excellent, being well heated, ventilated, clean, maintained etc. As an added bonus there were two sets of both mail and email toilet/shower facilities in the centrally located block. So whilst one was closed for cleaning, the other was always available. The dog run was fairly small but more than adequate with close cut grass, no weeds or thistles to catch on the dogs coat and most important for those with small breeds, it was 99% secure, with chicken wire around the lower edge of the outer fencing. The only very minor issue that could do with addressing is the entrance gate to the dog walk as small breeds can and did get out of the dog run by jumping between the lower rungs of the gate. An easy fix with 2 more rungs and already highlighted to the wardens. The layout of the site is excellent, with the whole site broken up into smaller groupings of pitches separated by trees and bushes. Each and every pitch is of a generous size with extra grass to the rear of the pitches you never felt hemmed in or over looked by your neighbours. The site is well located for the beautiful dog friendly village of Buford and even Oxford and Cirencester are less than 30 minutes drive away. RAF Brize Norton is close bye and whilst this is an active airbase, the military aircraft arrivals and departures were infrequent and more of an interest than an annoyance.
