A Jewel!
We have never 'done' a review before, but this site deserves one!
We booked in here for 8 nights back in May on our way up to the Home Counties, where we were to stay for another 7 nights. After a couple of nights we decided to transfer our booking up country to extend our say at Burford by the 7 nights, as it was probably the best Club Site we have ever stayed at, and after 45 years we have stayed at a lot!
The wardens were typically friendly and helpful, even though they were always keeping busy cleaning and keeping the site up to a very high standard, even seeming to paint the white lines and kerbstones weekly where members ran their tyres up against them (low profile tyres and expensive alloys are not often found on tow-tugs!).
The site is well laid out, and we were lucky to have a prime pitch near the entrance, which was one of the best.
As the site is only a few miles from RAF Brize Norton there is some aircraft noise during the day, which may affect some people, but we found it interesting to see the variety and size of the transports, and it added to our enjoyment of the site.
Don't want to get too lyrical, as we might not be able to get on for our next visit, which will not be too long coming!
