Picture Postcard Site did not Disappoint

Bunree was the first stage in a 14 day tour of Scotland. It is ideally placed, having the feel of a remote site but only being 10 miles from one of the largest Highland towns. There is a decent bus service there to, for those not wishing to use car or motorhome.

Views spectacular, but be aware if you want a loch side pitch you will need to book a non-awning pitch and be able to forward pitch your outfit. Facilities excellent. WC block is not one of the modern era, but clean and well maintained. The wifi, Vodafone and TV signal were excellent too.

In my 3 days I took my bike over to the “other side” on the local Corran Ferry, free for bikes and passengers, climed 2 munros in the Glen Coe range and climbed Ben Nevis. There is one pub/restaurant within walking distance, but I didn’t try it out.

Weather was fab which always helps and didn’t notice the midge too much.
