Honeymoon Stay
My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and after a long trip, my wife was rather disappointed by the reception we received from the lady working there. We wanted to know if we could park up somewhere for the night and then move into one of the spots where someone was moving the next day so we could be closer to the loch and have the ultimate 'Bunree experience' for our honeymoon but the member of staff was unwilling to accommodate and just said to come back tomorrow but she couldn't guarantee it. We did question whether the somewhat unfriendly reception was due to us being young but we felt as if we weren't very welcome.
We had booked to stay here for 10 days but the weather wasn't great and we longed for some sunshine so we ended up cutting our trip short and headed back to Kendal (a stop over on route) where the sun was still shining!
The site itself is very picturesque.
The dog walk here is very limited although we did manage to walk him along the pebbled beach when the tide was out this wasn't always available and when the tide came in, the normal dog walking area was covered in water.
The drying room was a blessing and we often used this facility due to the poor weather.
Would we return? No unfortunately not.
