If Bunree was a lager…
What a wonderful site! We arrived late and were welcomed by one of the wardens, he gave us directions to our pitch and asked us to pop into the office in the morning. No grief, no hassle, just the welcome we needed after a long drive.
Next morning we were told we could move to a loch side pitch if we wanted, just to let them know.
We did move and what a view; the colours this time of year are wonderful and what a great base for walking or cycling. The ferry around the corner is great (free for pedestrians and cyclists) and the cycling on the other side of the loch is brilliant, left or right the views are stunning and the riding easy going.
We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 10!
Good facilities, the wardens take pride in the site and are proud of it. Fort William and Glencoe are nearby if that’s what you want, but there are plenty of other places to go too. The Glencoe cafe, the one in the village, is a good place for food and drink with friendly staff and a good selection of freshly baked cakes.
Will we go back? Too right we will and tomorrow given the chance.
