NC500 via Brora
We stayed 2 nights at this lovely site. It is a small, peaceful site, kept spotless by the wardens and very pretty with the hanging baskets and other flower creations (loved the flowers on the tree stumps). We got up early both mornings to watch the sun rise from the beach. We walked into Brora once via the beach and the other via the road which was about a mile and half. We caught the bus from Brora into Golspie and this cost £10.20 for two of us return journey. The timetables at the bus stop are incorrect so look online for the timetable (Stagecoach service). They run approximately every hour. We did the Big Burn waterfall which was a lovely walk through the woods, sturdy footwear needed as quite muddy in places. We caught the bus back from Golspie and asked the bus driver if he could drop us off at the distillery junction, which he did, otherwise you have to get off in Brora and walk back to site. All in all a really nice stay on our continuing NC500 route.
